RESIDENCE PERMIT

Foreigners wishing to extend beyond the duration of the period specified in the visa in Turkey, who remain in need of a visa for more than ninety days must obtain a residence permit or exemption. As Aydemir Group, we assist you in the whole process in this regard.

Short Term Residence Permit for Foreigners

To apply for a short-term residence permit, property owners or those foreigners who want to establish a business or business connections in Turkey Turkey, after making the application the following documents in e-resident system through the relevant Provincial Immigration Administration Directorate (Immigration Administration) are required to submit. Short-term residence permits are first issued for a maximum of two years. Residence permit not used within six months is considered invalid.

FIRST APPLICATION

Residence permit application form
Original and a copy of the passport or travel document
Four biometric photos
Evidence of adequate and sustainable financial resources for the duration of stay
Applicant’s title deed of residence *
Invitation letter or documents issued by the person / business to be contacted **
Valid health insurance (one of the following will be sufficient);

– Bilateral social security agreements proof access to health services in Turkey

– Provision document from the Social Security Institution

– Document regarding the application made to the Social Security Institution to be a general health insurance holder

– Private health insurance

APPLICATION EXTENSION

Applications for the extension of the residence permit can be made to the Governorates within sixty days of expiration. However, under no circumstances should this be done beyond the expiry date. In order to get an extension, foreigners must apply for a residence permit through the e-residence system.

Evidence of adequate and sustainable financial resources for the duration of stay
Applicant’s title deed of residence *
Invitation letter or documents issued by the person / business to be contacted **
Valid health insurance (one of the following will be sufficient):

– Bilateral social security agreements proof access to health services in Turkey.

– Provision document from the Social Security Institution.

– Private health insurance including extension period.

– Is required for foreigners who own real estate in Turkey.*

– Is required for foreigners wishing to establish business or commercial contacts in Turkey.**

Long Term Residence Permit for Foreigners

For long-term residence permit, foreigners residing in Turkey for at least eight years of uninterrupted of the following documents relating to the Provincial Administration, Directorate of Immigration (Immigration Administration) must submit:

Residence permit application form
Original and a copy of the passport or travel document
Copy of the previous residence permit document
Four biometric photos
Proof that the applicant has not received any social aid from state institutions and organizations in the last three years.
Evidence of adequate and sustainable financial resources for the duration of stay
Police registration certificate
Valid health insurance (one of the following will be sufficient):

– Bilateral social security agreements proof access to health services in Turkey

– * Provision document from the Social Security Institution

– * Document regarding the application made to the Social Security Institution to be a general health insurance holder

– * Private health insurance valid for at least one year

* Long-term residence permits are given indefinitely. Therefore, there is no need for extension.
